For all things political, I’ve been finding Brian Derrick to be who I turn to. His organization, OATH, finds the most pivotal races and sends your donations straight to them WITHOUT all the texts and emails. In fact, he even has a way to donate that will unsubscribe you from all of that.

My favorite mystery series of the past year has been Magpie Murders. Season Two is out! And Moonflower Murders is just as great. Honestly, I would watch anything Leslie Manville is in - speaking of, have you seen Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris?
I love a friggin playlist and both my nieces make THE BEST playlists. It’s that thing where the playlist just embodies that moment - both with lyric, music and vibe. Their playlists just transport you. For Bonnie, you want a playlist that feels like F1 Racing? HERE YOU GO and ANOTHER ONE. For Zoë, do you want a harvesty, Thanksgiving playlist? HERE YOU GO.
I love a cooking show and Culinary Class Wars is INCREDIBLE. Watching it while not eating the food being made on it is barbaric.
Chef’s Table is back with a new season on Noodles. Just gorgeous.
Also, we’ve got Season Twelve of The Great British Bake Off - and once again it’s a balm.
I was lucky enough to get an Advanced Reader Copy of Carolyn Huynh’s second novel, The Family Recipe. And it’s a book that’s so beautiful — you know when you have to put a book down mid-read, close your eyes and just… dear lord. That’s this book. I’m… it’s just beautiful.

(little different this month as I think the internet is too noisy right now, so instead of following people maybe spend some time with these on in the background)

I'm just saying that the Spicy Paloma at Homestate is a HEAVY POUR if you’re needing that information.
My mom and I went to a lovely fund raiser with Naomi Hirahara and we won a Trader Joe’s themed basket. In it was THIS coffee and it was so cuddly and cozy. I loved it.
We went to a wedding in Solvang this past week and after some diligent research we settled on THIS bakery and dear lord everything was so good.

Okay, I know I said that whole thing about never wearing underwire bras but I went to Jenette Bras and… guys, I really hate to be the one to … sigh: great bras are great and getting yourself fitted for a good one is actually quite a religious experience. I went with a friend and then took my mom back later that month and… holy shit.
I also bought some new tights for aforementioned wedding and THESE were incredible -all those things we hate about tights? These did NONE of those things.
I went to a writing conference this past weekend and people mentioned that my hair looked shiny and soft - I wouldn’t have known because I’ve been in writing mode and have just thrown it up into a bun for the past month. But, that shine is all thanks to THIS shampoo. I use the Cherry Blossom scent, but they’re all dreamy.

I just want to thank you for your newsletter Liza- every month it fills my soul 💜. Sadly, I only saw you from a distance at the writer’s conference, but I can confirm your hair looked fantastic 😊
Just remembered to come sign up after waxing rhapsodic to my writing group about your SiWC sessions last week. Still have goosebumps after the breakthrough in my WIP during your class about endings! <3
