❤️❤️❤️
Good Morning, you weary beautifuls.
I’m having a lot of trouble finding words.
Heartbroken for George Floyd and his family. For Breonna Taylor and her family. For Ahmaud Arbery and his family. For so many Black lives lost. For so many Black families grieving.
Angry at a system that condones police brutality against Black people - that disregards the murder of Black people - that incites violence and benefits from the incarceration of Black people.
Inspired by protest. Inspired by a new and better way forward. I am ready to be a part of the change that needs to come. To be a part of that change:
What will you do?
Each Monday morning, I’ll gather:
❤️funny tweets
🤩stuff to watch, read and listen to

This is a great article by Rachel Wilkerson Miller. Her website, Just Good Shit, is a treasure trove of ways to take care of yourself and I can’t wait to read her new book, The Art of Showing Up. She also makes pretty great playlists.
Leah Johnson’s, You Should See Me in a Crown is finally here and I can’t wait to crack into it.
Beverly Jenkins is an icon in the romance community. Let her books comfort and ease you.
This is the spectacular Spotify Playlist from Sunday’s Verzuz episode with Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond.
Gordon Parks’ photography is stunning. This discussion around his work is SO GOOD.
YES, I’m going to talk about Sweet Magnolias again. But, this time? I’m just PUTTING THIS OUT THERE that there should be a) a second season but b) there should be a musical episode. When you have Heather Headley as one of your leads? HOW CAN YOU NOT?

I love this mist by Folie - it’s - I think it’s the Vetiver in it that makes it so lovely? - but this just makes any room feel like you’re outside in the crisp fresh air.
Danielle Mullen is halfway to her goal of trying to raise money to buy books for the children of Chicago. Donate if you can.
This Signature candle by Bright Black is a perfect combination of citrussy brightness, anchored in a musky depth. And the wood wick? Forget it.
Designer Shirien is creating some truly beautiful art.
